ECC SAFETY MINISTRY
The Safety Ministry is a trusted team of volunteers who help to create a welcoming, safe, and secure environment during all services and other gatherings of the church.
The Safety Ministry exists to help the church operate and flourish unencumbered by outside forces that seek to disrupt or harm others and to protect the health and welfare of everyone on campus.
(Matthew 10:16; 1 Peter 5:8; Isaiah 62:6; Acts 20:28-29)
SAFETY MINISTRY ORGANIZATION
The Safety Team refers to the Safety Team Lead, the Service Leads and the other security oriented volunteers. The Medical Team refers to the volunteers who support and coordinate with the Service Lead to provide emergency medical services.
The foundation of the Safety Ministry depends entirely on our commitment to God and Jesus as Lord and Savior. All people in the ministry must model a Biblical commitment to follow and serve others. “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.” Romans 12:3
The Safety Ministry is committed to spiritual, medical and security training for all volunteers. Our Chaplin actively supports all ministry members in their walk with Christ and in their life situations. The medical team provides training for basic first aid, proper use of CPR & AED and trauma related first aid. The safety team provides training for radio use, effective communication with others, fire arms safety and marksmanship and planned responses for campus emergencies.
