Middle & High School MINISTRY

The ECC Student Ministry is a community of students set on seeking after God.

This means a few core things:

We love everyone.

Our goal is to love every person–old or new, weird or cool–in a way that reflects Jesus.

We love God.

We show our love for Him through worship, Bible study, service, and by letting Him change our lives.

We are searching.

We want to know God more, find answers to questions, and ask difficult questions each week.

If you have any questions about ECC Student Ministry, send us an e-mail!

what to expect

When you’re new, we understand there is some information you’ll want to know. When you arrive for the first time, one of our Welcome Team members will warmly greet you and provide you a bulletin. If you mention you’re new, they’ll escort you down the main hallway to the Youth space. Inside you’ll find Adults who have completed a background check, love your kids, and are excited you’re there. Your student will discover new friendships and walk away each week knowing more about Jesus. Parents are always welcome to sit in on the class or ask questions. If you would like to know more about our Student Ministry, please contact Chris Renk to arrange a time to connect.

Teaching Series

When Jesus was on earth, he had a lot to say about love, but not everyone loved him. Instead, Jesus’ opponents hated him, attacked him, and saw him as extreme — dangerous — revolutionary — a radical. And they had a point! The things Jesus taught about loving God and loving others challenged the status quo and changed the world forever. That’s pretty radical. In this 4-week series from the book of James, we’ll look at four ways Jesus invites us to love according to his revolutionary example. These ideas might seem simple, but when we choose to listen more than we speak, refuse to play favorites, watch our words, and fight for peace, we’ll see just how radical Jesus’ teachings really are.
